That is the point of Wi-Fi certification.
The product must be said that in the package.
Be certified, the "G" with 802.11b, IEEE standard with one, if two products as "G", then it should have Wi-Fi compatible and described.

NIC AG can theoretically connect to any signal G. The difficulty is that when a person has a key, MAC filtering or settings in your router, you must get this key or add to your network before you connect it. The only way to find them:
Connect one) to any network of chance and see if you can be on the internet (not sure to happen as the legal, is not recommended)
B) Make the person who owns the router and see if you can use the key or add the MAC filtering.
c) Hack router (including Legal)
